Workshop on Application of Multi-disciplinary Geospatial Technology with Integrated GIS and Image Processing Software (IGiS), 7-8.02.2023

A two-day workshop on ‘Application of Multi-disciplinary Geospatial Technology with Integrated GIS and Image Processing Software (IGiS)’ was held on 07-08 February, 2023 at Department of Geography under the aegis of Geospatial Skill Development Centre and Entrepreneurship Cell (GSDEC), MLSU in collaboration with Scanpoint Geomatics Limited, Ahmedabad. The chief guest of the inaugural session was Sh. Satish Shrimali, Former Additional Chief Town Planner Rajasthan. The session was chaired by Prof. Pradeep Trikha, Associate Dean, MLSU and Sh. Arvind Singh Kanawat, Chief Town Planner as Guest of Honour. The training covered topics on basics of GIS and Remote Sensing and various tools of Integrated GIS and Image Processing Software (IGiS) offered by SGL. The experts of the workshop were Sh. Rajbir Singh, Sr. Vice President Solution, Disha Chauhan and Surovi Ghosh, GIS Analyst from SGL. A total of 18 participants consisting of faculty members, research scholars, research assistants from departments of Geography and Geology, MLSU and personnel from Town Planning Department, Government of Rajasthan and Forest Department were benefitted by the training.
